My photography... I've stayed consistent in my prime interests over the years shooting surf and football. I occasionally would venture out into the landscape and absract genre as a diversion. So you could say, "I keep it simple" when it comes to interests and effort. I'm still in pursuit of defining moments captured on the digital canvas and enjoy the solitude of a Monterey sunrise as much as 35' at Mavericks. To kick off the New Year, the first week of January, I woke my son up at 3 am and we made the trek to Yosemite for a sunrise. We got lucky, shooting photos and found a room that evening at the lodge. A nice little diversion that reminds me of two very important facets of my life: 1.) If your gonna go- you gotta get up! So many of the most beautiful photographs we see are from morning light. Only a surfer knows the inner joy and peaceful connection of sitting on your board in overhead surf, waiting for the sunrise. 2.) Share the moment. Remember your first sunrise?
